Clearwater Beach, Florida
Clearwater Beach is a bustling beach town located on a barrier island, bordered by the beautiful Gulf of Mexico on the West and the Intracoastal Waterway on the East. Clearwater Beach includes the residential communities of Island Estates and Sand Key. A bridge to the East leads to downtown Clearwater, and a bridge to the South connects to Sand Key with Belleair Beach, Indian Rocks Beach, and additional Tampa Bay beach communities along the barrier islands.
The beach stretches for 2.5 miles along Gulf Blvd. and has been named one of America's top family beaches, as well as one of the best beaches from Maine to Hawaii.
Sand Key is a part of Clearwater just South of Clearwater Beach. Many condominiums and some houses & townhouses provide Vacation Rentals in this primarily residential portion of Clearwater Beach. At the North end of Sand Key is the Sand Key Pinellas County Park offering picnic facilities, fishing, beach concessions, and a nature trail. The Clearwater Community Sailing Center is located on Sand Key and offers memberships to residents.
Clearwater Beach's main income depends on the tourism industry, which brings many visitors each year to its white sandy beaches. Although tourism makes up a large part of the city, Clearwater Beach is home to many residents year round. Only a 20 minute drive to Tampa, residents find it simple to commute for work or play.
A full marina is available on the Intracoastal Waterway and the Pier 60 fishing pier reaches into the Gulf of Mexico.
Clearwater Beach features "pristine white sand beaches, clear Gulf waters, warm sunshine and plenty of hospitality."
